Welcome to India! Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and escorted to your hotel in the heart of the capital. After checking in, take some time to unwind after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an orientation drive through the city’s broad boulevards, passing India Gate, the Parliament House, and Connaught Place. This initial glimpse offers a striking contrast between British colonial design and the dynamic chaos of modern Delhi.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a heritage restaurant, where you can sample a curated selection of North Indian cuisine accompanied by traditional music—an atmospheric introduction to India’s famed hospitality and culinary diversity.
After breakfast, go on a full-day guided exploration of Delhi, a city that has been built, destroyed, and rebuilt over centuries. Begin in Old Delhi, the former Mughal capital, with a visit to Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, where marble domes and towering minarets overlook a sea of worshippers. Continue with a rickshaw ride through the serpentine lanes of Chandni Chowk, a sensory explosion of spices, silks, and sweets.
Stop at Raj Ghat, the serene memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, set amidst tranquil gardens. Then drive past the Red Fort, a symbol of India’s rich Mughal legacy. In the afternoon, delve into New Delhi, with its grand avenues and colonial-era architecture. Visit the Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, followed by the tranquil Lotus Temple, a Baháʼí House of Worship famed for its flower-like architecture. Conclude with a photo stop at India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan, seat of the President of India. Return to your hotel in the evening.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Agra via the modern Yamuna Expressway (approx. 3.5 hours), offering scenic views of rural Uttar Pradesh along the way.
Upon arrival in Agra, check in to your hotel and refresh. In the afternoon, visit the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO-listed site built in red sandstone. Within its mighty walls lies a complex of palaces, mosques, and audience halls that reflect the grandeur of the Mughal Empire.
Next, discover the delicate elegance of the Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb, often referred to as the “Baby Taj.” This marble mausoleum is renowned for its intricate inlay work and Persian-inspired architecture.
As the sun begins to set, head to Mehtab Bagh, a peaceful Mughal garden directly across the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal. From here, enjoy a tranquil view of the Taj Mahal at dusk, its silhouette bathed in golden-pink light—perfect for quiet reflection and stunning photos.
ise early for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, a moment that will remain etched in memory. Watch as the sun’s soft rays illuminate the white marble, revealing the delicate craftsmanship of this timeless symbol of love. Your expert guide will share stories of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal that add rich context to your experience.
Return to the hotel for breakfast, then check out and begin your drive to Jaipur, with a detour to Fatehpur Sikri. Once the short-lived capital of Emperor Akbar, this ghost city offers a haunting beauty. Walk through its red sandstone courtyards and see the Buland Darwaza, one of the tallest gateways in the world. Continue through the countryside of Rajasthan, arriving in Jaipur by late afternoon. Check into your hotel and unwind. You may choose to take a short walk through the local markets, or simply relax with a rooftop drink, watching the sky turn pink over the “Pink City.”
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading to Amber Fort, an architectural masterpiece set atop a rugged hill. Ascend to the fort by jeep and explore its mirror-studded halls, royal apartments, and scenic ramparts overlooking Maota Lake. Later, return to Jaipur and visit the City Palace, an opulent complex still partially occupied by the former royal family. Its museum houses royal costumes, armory, and stunning Rajasthani artworks. Just nearby lies Jantar Mantar, the world’s largest stone observatory and a UNESCO site.
Stop for photos at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a façade of honeycombed windows built for royal ladies to observe street life without being seen. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a beautifully restored haveli or palace hotel, accompanied by folk music or a traditional puppet show.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast. If time permits, you may choose to visit the Albert Hall Museum, Jaipur’s oldest museum, known for its Indo-Saracenic architecture and eclectic collection. Later, begin your drive back to Delhi (approx. 5 hours). Depending on your flight schedule, you may be transferred directly to the airport or opt for an additional night in Delhi.
